Our story and mission

We are a Dutch brand of nautical and sailing hoodies and T-shirts for sailors who share our love of the ocean and water sports. DAHRAH is more than just a clothing brand—it’s a lifestyle. We create organic, sea-inspired clothing for adventurous skippers, crews, and surfers who never tire of new adventures.

Our story began in 2018 in the charming Dutch city of Leiden, where every gust carries the scent of the North Sea and the sound of seagulls fills the air. As avid sailors and windsurfers ourselves, we know what it means to be on the water, to feel alive and free. With nearly a decade of experience in fashion design and a lifetime of sailing and surfing on the North Sea, we set out to create nautical apparel that is not only comfortable but also tells a story.

We strive to deliver unique, creative and high-quality nautical and sailing hoodies and T-shirts that meet the demands of the most adventurous crews in both quality and style. Since 2018 our mission is to bring our vision to life, inspired by the thrill of the ocean and the sense of community that comes with it.

Values drive us

DAHRAH is committed to a cause close to our hearts: respect for the environment, especially the ocean.
First of all, our brand takes a clear stand against fast fashion, which is why you will not find seasonal collections in the shop. Instead of keeping stock, we print each item on demand. Ethical factories produce our nautical and sailing T-shirts and hoodies, which carry Vegan and OEKO-TEK certifications. To reduce the impact of plastic on drinking water and the sea, the small amount of polyester in the fabrics is recycled. Finally, our team prints every T-shirt and hoodie in the Netherlands using environmentally friendly techniques and inks.
